It is almost entirely forest.<br /> <br /> During the Age of Kingdoms, it was home to several tribes of [[Unicorn|unicorns]]. Their presence prevented other creatures from living there. When [[the Beast]] left the [[Gryphon Mother]], during the [[Age of War]], she fled into the Silverwood Forest to hide, chasing out the unicorn population. For the next several thousand years, the Beast was the sole occupant of the forest. <br /> <br /> This period of solitude ended in y5834, when the Gryphon Mother entered Silverwood, hoping to make amends with the Beast. The two eventually did make up; the first physical contact between them in several thousand years caused an intense wave of magical energy, resulting in the first [[spirit]] emergence. <br /> <br /> During the [[Age of Spirits]], that place of first contact grew into a bustling city, full of spirits and magic. Many creatures were drawn to the place, wanting to live somewhere with more magic in the air.
