He lives with his family on the outskirts of the Mother's City.

Appearance

Zodiac's scales are a uniform dark gray. He is very small, even smaller than a galaxy dragon typically is. His horns are rounded and ram-like, and his snout is rounded. His wing membranes are tattered, due to him constantly picking fights with creatures bigger and stronger than him. His mane, tail fur, and wing membranes are a gradient of purple, pink, and blue, with speckles of white. His eyes are pinkish-purple, with a ring of lighter purple around his irises. His horns and claws are black, and the inside of his ears are light gray.

Personality

Zodiac is grumpy, stubborn, and argumentative. He often lacks common sense, which leads to him picking fights with creatures that are a lot bigger than him. Secretly, he has a lot of insecurities, which are largely caused by his runt status and his small size. He covers them up by acting as though he doesn't care about anyone or anything. In truth, he cares about his family quite a bit, although he would never admit that to them.

He becomes a lot more openly warm after his brother Cosmos is hatched. He is overjoyed to no longer be the youngest, and to have someone to protect.

History

Zodiac's egg was one of three, alongside his sisters Cassiopeia and Libra. Their eggs were brightly colored, as a galaxy dragon egg should be, while Zodiac’s was small and dark gray. The two sisters hatched within a day of each other, but the smaller egg lay still. Two weeks passed, and parents Andromeda & Orion were beginning to give up hope, when the egg split open and a tiny Zodiac fell out.

In addition to being two weeks less developed than his sisters, he grew far slower than them as well. After two seasons, the sisters were approximately half the size of their parents; Zodiac was less than a quarter. Other than his size, he was completely healthy.

When he was nineteen years old, his brother Cosmos was hatched. Zodiac was immediately enamored; at first, he was overjoyed to no longer be the youngest and smallest, but it grew into genuine love for his brother.

Relationships

Cosmos

Zodiac is fiercely protective of Cosmos, although now that the latter is fully grown, he is considerably larger than Zodiac and clearly does not need his protection. Mainly, Zodiac is just happy to no longer be the youngest of the family.
