He is the father of Viku, and the ex-partner of Nuni. After his son's death, he left his home to join an anti-war commune, where he lives with Kara and Paetus.

Appearance

Bakar has short brown fur tipped with lighter reddish-brown. His underbelly, tail, neck, paws, ears, and facial markings are darker brown. He has warm golden eyes and a round face.

Personality

Bakar is gentle and good-natured, and an excellent listener. He aims to help other creatures without drawing any attention to himself. His reserved nature makes it difficult for him to share things with others, preferring not to speak at all. He is deeply sensitive and his heart aches for every creature lost during the War, on both sides.

History

Bakar was born on Summer 12, y2265, in a natural stronghold during the Age of War. He was last-born in a litter of four, and he also had six other older siblings, making him the youngest of ten. While his siblings showed a desire to join the war force from a very young age, Bakar was more reserved, trying to help around the camp without being involved directly in the fighting.

In y2269, Bakar began assisting the medics in the camp, eventually becoming a medic himself. He spent his days patching wounds and checking on soldiers, desperately hoping the War would soon come to an end. In y2271 he met a young polar bear named Nuni who had sustained a head injury in a recent skirmish. He helped take care of her during the seasons she spent recovering, although she remained permanently deaf in one ear. Even after Nuni didn't need his care anymore, the two remained close, and soon became partners. In y2276 they had a son together, who they named Viku.

Approximately a year and a half later, in y2278, the camp was raided by magical soldiers. Nuni was out on a patrol at the time. Bakar worked with the other medics, making protecting the wounded his top priority. The remaining soldiers in the camp eventually drove off the invaders, but not without dozens of casualties on both sides, with the young Viku among them.
