They are the largest dragon species and typically have lifespans of around a thousand years. Their colors depend on how strong their fire is; the most powerful fire dragons are bright red and orange, while older or less powerful dragons will have dustier colored scales. Rarely, a fire dragon can be born with no fire at all, in which case their scales are pure black.
