He was the official scribe of Petraga, and he taught The Library Dragon how to read.

Appearance

Alba has a long body and neck, with large flat wings and short legs. His scales are a dull brown, with spot patterns on his neck, shoulders, and hindquarters. The inside of his wings and ears are lighter tan. His horns, spine ridges, claws, and tail spikes are dark gray-brown.

Personality

Alba is solitary and aloof, and does not typically spend much time talking to others. He tends to become grumpy or agitated when his personal space is invaded. He does not like young dragons very much, although he has a soft spot for Ladon.

History

Alba hatched from his egg on Winter 92, y1830, during the Age of Kingdoms. He grew up uneventfully in Petraga. At a young age he was apprenticed to the tribe's official scribe, who taught him to read and write, and to send letters. He officially took over the position from his predecessor in y1903, and he spent the next several hundred years taking care of all written communication between Petraga and the other tribes.

Relationships

Ladon

Alba is the one who taught Ladon how to read, and inspired his love of books. Although Alba typically does not like younger dragons, he has a soft spot for Ladon. He is proud of him, and treats him almost like a son.

Hyacinth

Alba has not spent much time with Hyacinth, but from what he picked up she is a little too rowdy and pushy for him to enjoy being around. He does appreciate that she cares about Ladon, though, as most of the other dragons in the tribe don't.
