It was founded by The Library Dragon in y2350, with the intention of creating a center for creatures to share in his love of books. It began as a simple wooden building, but as the years passed it was expanded multiple times, to the point where the Library Dragon could no longer keep up with it on his own; he hired a phoenix to cast magic upon the building, keeping things neat and clean and letting the books organize themselves. It was home to him and Freckles until their deaths in y2992; it then lay abandoned for just over a century, until Briar rediscovered in y3131.
