She is the daughter of Raine and Jiro, and the sister of Storm and Freckles.

Appearance

Puddle has short, scruffy-looking fur, with a long tail. She has calico fur, pure white with patches of tabby brown and dark gray. Her paw pads, nose, and the inside of her ears are soft gray, and her eyes are orange.

Personality

While growing up, Puddle followed her sister everywhere, much preferring to follow instead of lead. She was playful and curious, although lacking the boldness that her sister possessed.

As an adult, Puddle is more sure of herself. She is willing to stand up for herself, and to stand up in defense of those she cares about. She is independent and intelligent.

History

Early Life

Puddle was born on Spring 12, y2601, to her mother Raine and her father Jiro. She had two siblings, one of whom was born with wings. When Raine saw this, she realized Jiro had magical heritage that he hadn't told her about. Feeling betrayed, Raine took all three kittens and left him.

When the kittens were a few weeks old, Raine took Puddle's brother, the one with wings, and left him on the doorstep of an old building on the outskirts of the Mother's City, wanting nothing more to do with him. She took Puddle, and her sister Storm, to settle down in the northern Commonlands.

Puddle and Storm soon became inseparable, getting into more trouble than their mother could handle. They were constantly on the move, with Storm coming up with crazy plans and Puddle happily going along with whatever her sister wanted to do. She grew up happy and content, with no memories of her father or brother, blissfully innocent of any of her mother's faults.

During the particularly cold winter of y2604, when the two of them were three years old, Storm came down with an illness. It started minor, so Puddle was not concerned at all, just looking forward to Storm getting better so they could play again. However, Storm's condition grew worse, and within the span of a few days it had gone from minor to life-threatening. Puddle remained by her side the entire time, and Raine tried her best to nurse her back to health, but the effort was futile. On Winter 62, Storm died.

Relationships

Raine

Raine is Puddle's mother. Although she loved her deeply when she was young, as she grew up she began to see her mother's flaws more clearly. She blames Raine for her sister's death, and for abandoning her brother, and for the fact that she never got to know her father. Once Puddle left to live on her own, she only saw her mother once every few years.

Storm

Storm is Puddle's sister. They were inseparable while growing up, until Storm's death at age three. Puddle was inconsolable for several years after her loss, and even after growing up and living on her own, she kept Storm in her heart.

Jiro

Jiro is Puddle's father, but she has no memories of him. She doesn't even know his name. After learning the reason Raine left him, Puddle tried to track him down so she could meet him for real, but without any real defining information, she had no luck in locating him.
