== History ==
Xirya was born on Summer 19, y2286, during the Age of War. She was raised in the Mother's City, the hub of the magical side of the war, far away from the front lines of battle. Her mother was the sister of Queen Yuanya, and was born in Niiba, where the war began; she fled her homeland at the start of the era in search of sanctuary among other magical creatures. Her parents were adamant that she not be involved in the conflict, fearing for her safety as a clearly magical creature, and so they forbid her from leaving the city. She was able to visit the greater Commonlands area a few times, but only when she was with a group, and never for long - even though the Commonlands were as peaceful as the City was, her parents did not feel safe unless they were within the City's walls. By the time she was a decade old, Xirya knew the Mother's City inside and out.

The Great Battle occurred in y2310, when she was 24. Once the war was finished, it was like the whole world had opened up to her, and she spent close to a century exploring Ankou, relishing in the freedom that she had not had in her childhood.
