During the Age of Kingdoms it was bordered by Lyndoreth, Tayutho, and Niiba. It is almost entirely forest. During the Age of Kingdoms, it was home to several tribes of unicorns. Their presence prevented other creatures from living there. When the Beast left the Gryphon Mother, during the Age of War, she fled into the Silverwood Forest to hide, chasing out the unicorn population. For the next several thousand years, the Beast was the sole occupant of the forest. This period of solitude ended in y5834, when the Gryphon Mother entered Silverwood, hoping to make amends with the Beast. The two eventually did make up; the first physical contact between them in several thousand years caused an intense wave of magical energy, resulting in the first spirit emergence. During the Age of Spirits, that place of first contact grew into a bustling city, full of spirits and magic. Many creatures were drawn to the place, wanting to live somewhere with more magic in the air. By the end of the era, it was the second largest city in all of Ankou, with a population just short of the Mother's City.
