He was the ruler of Zyadrin-Epsilon until the Birdcat Revolution, during which he was dethroned.

Appearance

King-Epsilon is a True birdcat gryphon, being a mix of an eagle and a lion. The front half of his body is covered in a mix of fur and feathers, dark brown in color. He has a crest of darker feathers along the back of his head. The backside of his wings are solid brown, while the interior feathers are striped with brown and white. He has small half-circle markings on his chest, and lighter rings around his eyes, which are bright yellow. His beak and talons are gray-brown, with his beak tipped in dark gray. The hind end of his body is sandy-brown with a slightly lighter underbelly. His tail tip is brown.

Personality

King-Epsilon is skittish, anxious, and deeply introverted. He is not the leading type, and he knows it. He constantly second-guesses all of his decisions, and feels deeply unhappy to have such control over other creatures' lives.

History

King-Epsilon hatched from his egg on Autumn 12, y1465, in Zyadrin-Delta, alongside one sister and one brother. His sister was True as well, and much larger and stronger than he was, so she was chosen to be the heir of Zyadrin-Delta. Once he was a few weeks old, he was sent to a neighboring tribe, Zyadrin-Epsilon; their King had died recently without an heir, and so he would become the new heir. He was given the name Prince-Epsilon.

Relationships

King-Delta

King-Delta is King-Epsilon's sister, although he has a hard time thinking of her as such. He was only a few weeks old when they were separated, and he feels no familial connection to her. She treats him just like she would treat any other tribal leader, and he does his best to return the sentiment.

King-Zeta

The two rulers did not have a close relationship, having only spent time with each other during the yearly Zyadrin tribal gatherings. From what little he saw of her, King-Epsilon found King-Zeta quite intimidating.
