Souls

Souls are the spirits of Ankouvian creatures that have died (not to be confused with Spirits, which are spawned from places of high magical concentration). All Ankouvian creatures go to Eternity upon their death, but creatures with strong connections to a particular place or particular still-living creature can sometimes appear as faded remnants of varying lucidity. For example, the souls of the Library Dragon and Freckles have been seen within the walls of the Library, and a few of the First have been observed wandering the much-changed streets of the districts named after them in the Mother’s City.
